Mandolin tablatures for Oh Susanna
Traditional
Recomended level: Beginner
This is a classic American folk melody with 3 arrangements to check out. The tune is in A major, so knowing that scale well will help you more easily navigate any of these arrangements.
If you are a beginner, start with the simple arrangement and adjust the slider to the easiest level. Also, if you have trouble keep adjusting the tempo slider until it's at a speed you can handle it.
If you play the simple arrangement at it's highest difficulty, or the intermediate arrangement, you'll notice some 16th notes. These come twice as fast so don't feel bad if you need to adjust the tempo slider even further. Remember to use the focus feature to loop and practice problematic measures.
The Bluegrass version uses various slurs such as slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs. These help to create a unique sound but can be challenging. Sometimes you'll need to pause the player and repeatedly practice these specific movements.
