Chop, Chop!

The Rhythm can be played many ways. Watch the video for a demonstration. The first time through Each Part I’ll use bar chords, and a few open chords, and the second time will demonstrate the use of the Bluegrass “Chop” chords. To become more acquainted with the chop chords check out the lesson path Chopping 101. If using open chords you can often mute the ringing chord by laying your ring or pinky finger over the strings so you can make a chopping sound on the backbeat. Again, watch the video for a demonstration of this.
