Overview and A Section
Getting Started
Let’s learn the advanced version of Red-Haired Boy. Don’t be too intimidated by the word “Advanced”. There’s nothing too crazy about this tune. There’s a lot of 16th notes as with any fiddle tune, but as long as you keep the tempo at a manageable pace, it is more than achievable. Measures one and three are the same. Spend time looping measure one and practicing until it’s easy. This way you practice in an efficient manner. It’s always good to scan over a piece with your eyes. This way you can see what measures repeat. And practice that measure on it’s own many times. You will find there are several in Red Haired Boy.
