Now that you have got a handle on the basic chop, let’s put it to use. Everytime you learn a new melody make sure you are also practicing rhythm. Chop along with the band in Tunefox. You can use the bluegrass chop chords or the pop-up chords available in each tune. Just click or tap on the chord and a diagram will appear to show you how to pay it. Try a couple of bluegrass standards like Dark Hollow, or a fiddle tune like Turkey in the Straw. If you want a challenge take a look at 8 more miles to Louisville. It requires many quick switches between chords and is a great exercise for your fret hand.
