Capos are an essential musical tool - especially when it comes to Bluegrass and Clawhammer banjo. They are a big part of the music and instrument. Capos allow us to take songs we know on the banjo and play them with familiar chord shapes and licks - but in different keys. There are 2 kinds of capos that you need for banjo - your main capo and a 5th string capo. Both types of capo will be discussed in this lesson series as will how to use each type .
