This is a wonderful instrumental written by Bill Monroe. It's called the Watson blues in honor of his friend Doc Watson. Doc contributed the signature riff which has become an iconic part of this tune. This arrangement is based on the way Doc played rhythm with David Grisman. For the most part it's kept rather simple, but if you check the licks you will find a treasure trove of signature Doc Watson licks.
