This version of Dueling banjos lets you hear the classic intro with all the call and response licks - in context. Learning each of these phrases one at a time is required. If you haven't done that yet, then go to the Phrase by Phrase version of this tune. And practice those a section at a time until they are easy
Listening is just as important as physically practicing. Listening is practice. It helps you to understand timing and form in a natural way. Make sure to practice listening. Listen at slow speeds with the Tunefox player to understand what's going on, and also to the original recording to hear these parts in context. There's no response here from the banjo in the Tunefox player. Imagine or even hum or sing the response - "lala, la, la, la, la, la, la, la". Notice it takes up the same amount of space as the guitar lick. Starting to hear and feel space and timing is a great step in developing your musicianship.
