How do I switch licks in a tab?
Tap or click on a measure to access that measure's arrangement window. From there, users can select a lick from the ones listed at the bottom of the window. Be sure to select "Done" to apply the change.
Go to your profile page and tap "Send Us Feedback." That will automatically open your email app and you can send us your request!
How often are new tablatures, licks, and lesson videos added?
New tablatures and licks are hand-crafted and added to the site monthly! In any Song Library, recently added tablatures are indicated by a blue badge icon. Check the lesson page to see recently added instructional videos.
iOS users may need to refresh the Song Library to show newly added tablatures.
Where can I find chord diagrams?
Users can check chord shapes on any tablature by tapping or clicking on the chord name listed above the measures in the tab.
How do I save my arrangement settings for individual tablatures?
Tunefox automatically saves selected settings for individual tablatures. Simply access a Tunefox account from any device and select a tab to see the most recently selected arrangement settings.
Can set a measure to play on repeat?
Yes! To loop(repeat) a measure or a selection of measures, tap or click the first measure of the desired phrase, then select 'Focus'. Do this for each additional measure to be added to the phrase, and then press play to hear the selection looped.
When selecting a measure to be added, be sure to click somewhere on the tab lines, and not directly on a note.
To stop looping the selected phrase, simply tap each measure in the phrase and select "Focus" again to remove it from the loop.
How do I play along with the backing tracks?
When viewing a song tablature, click or tap on the "Playback" menu in the bottom right to access sound options. Here you can adjust the volume levels for the backing track, metronome, and the lead instrument. If you want to hear the backing track only, lower the volume for the metronome and lead instrument. Now, you are ready to jam!
How do I provide feedback?
Email us at support@tunefox.com or go to your profile settings in TuneFox and tap on "Send Us Feedback." One of our staff will be happy to assist you.
How do I explore variations in a tab?
There are several ways to explore possible variations in a tab.
Try the "Shuffle Licks" feature found at the bottom of the Control Bar. This will randomly switch in several of the licks available for that tab.
View all available licks for a tab by clicking on any measure and selecting one of the lick options at the bottom of the pop-up window.
Change the complexity of a lick by tapping a measure and using the "Vary" slider to see a variety of notes that can be added or removed from the lick. *
*This function does not apply if the Difficulty slider is set to either the lowest or highest setting.
Can I submit my own tab to Tunefox?
Tunefox does not currently have a way for users to submit their own tablatures. However, if you've written a tab that you'd like to see on the site, feel free to email us at support@tunefox.com and we'll let you know if it's a good fit!
Where are the backing tracks?
They're in every song! In the bottom right corner, there is a "Playback" button. This button allows you to mix the track volumes to your liking. Simply move the slider to the left or right to change the volume of your instrument, band, or metronome and then click "Done". There are also several listening presets available to suit any practice session. "Default" sets the instrument slightly louder than the band and metronome. It's a great standard sound. "Solo" removes the band and leaves just a hint of metronome. This setting is great to focus in on timing and tone production. "Band" removes the instrument sound so it's just you and the band. This simulates what it's like to be in a band or a jam. "Metronome" turns off the band and instrument sounds. Playing with just the metronome sound is great for working on precise timing.
