This is a great fiddle tune. It comes from the Celitc tradition, but spread to Bluegrass and Old-Time jam circles. The melody and even chords are slightly different depending on what jam circle you play it in. This melodic version is based on the Old-Time way of playing it. Specifically it's based on the way the fiddler in the band "Hog-Eyed Man" plays it. Click on the Spotify or apple links to add their version to a playlist and listen to that as part of regular practice.

Pay attention to the fingering markings in the tablature. The melodic style uses a lot of "Drop Thumb" technique. You can get more familiar with that if you go into the song section and practice with the drop thumb exercises in "Clawhammer 102". If any of the melodic runs are too tough, try to tackle them a measure a time with your Tunefox tools. Use FOCUS and the TEMPO SLIDER. If you still have trouble there are some Clawhammer licks that use basic claw technique and some hammer-ons and pull-offs to get the melody. the DIFFICULTY SLIDER is another tool you have when learning new tunes. It will simplify things so you have an easier start.
