Cindy - David Johnson Style

  • Key   C
  • Tempo   80 bpm
  • Tuning   GCGCD

This is a transcription of David Johnson's version of Cindy. Some of it has been slightly simplified to make it more playable and accessible. There are some important things to notice here. Sometimes the melody is altered to make things more playable, stay in a certain position, or to get a specific sound or feeling. Often, you don't nee to be surgically precise when it comes to playing and including melody in the clawhammer style, if you hit a few extra or a few less strings it's still gonna sound good. Hitting some extra chord notes will give you a fuller sound and it's hard to complain about that!

Also here, David plays one A part and Two B parts! Someone else might do 2 of both or one of both. It's always important to listen. And when in Rome, play what the Romans play!
