This version of Banks of the Ohio comes from live recordings of J.D. Crowe and the New South from 1975. This transcription features some tricky moves in open F position and highlights Crowe's ability to navigate a melody in closed position with infrequent use of open strings. The material in this transcription can be used to influence your own playing in the key of F, or as inspiration for playing breaks and backup up-the-neck.
