Hey Tunefoxers,
This is Jordan here again on behalf of the team. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying Tunefox. We’ve got a ton of new tunes to check out this month and some lesson videos as well. A lot of the new songs are user requests. There’s also some new takes on old favorites and transcriptions from legendary players. I even added a tune I wrote called Daisy & Duke. Check that out if you like Newgrass and are up for a challenge. It’s available for both Banjo and Mandolin.
With any song you work on, remember to explore the licks! A lot of the licks are not only cool variations but teach a specific concept. If you are working on vamping some licks will show you how to play the same chords but with different chord shapes. Some melodic licks show you how to use a melodic style scale pattern in a song. The list goes on. Remember to read the tablature and listen with the Tunefox player regularly as part of practice. Use those Apple and Spotify links to build playlists if you use those services. In Tunefox, read the song and tablature descriptions to get more details, practice advice and technique tips.
It’s been great chatting with some of you about your requests for tunes, lessons, and videos. The request list is long, but it’s filled with great suggestions and I’m getting to them bit by bit. Getting to interact with some of you all and being able to offer some guidance on how to best utilize Tunefox as part of your learning journey is something I truly enjoy. I love to teach, and I love to help - especially when it comes to Bluegrass and its musical branches. I’m very excited about what’s to come with Tunefox. There’s lots of great tunes, lessons, and videos on the way, and a lot of that is thanks to the great user suggestions!
Ok, time to check out the new tunes for this month and dive on in. Keep picking and stay tuned y’all.
Thanks,
Jordan, Jakub, Jiri
