This is a great Scruggs style arrangement in the key of C. Make sure to study, and ideally memorize, the melody in the key of C before jumping in here. It will help you know what melody notes to highlight and bring out. We're using a lot of double stop pinches here to get a fuller sound. If you wanted you could just play the single melody note at any time, but you need to know what that note is to do so! We've also marked the times when melody notes are happening with accent marks. This is a great way to bring that melody to the surface in the midst of all the fireworks of rolling Scruggs style banjo. You can also make some very cool and compelling rhythmic patterns with accents, check out the licks to get a glimpse of that.
