Always start with the melody when learning a new tune, whether you are a beginner or seasoned player. Pay attention to the fretting hand and picking hand fingerings. If the timing of a particular measure gives you trouble, use the focus feature to listen and practice it repeatedly, then play through the whole arrangement. This type of practice really plays off. Once you have the whole arrangement down, don't be satisfied with just one play through. Do it multiple times so you know you really have it down.
