This is a transcription of Earl's playing from his days with the Bluegrass Boys. You may need to adjust your capo depending on who you play this with or what recording you try to play along with. There are some great melodic riffs available that seamlessly blend with Earl's playing. Check those out to add some modern flair to this traditional tune. There are also some more simplified Scruggs licks to substitute for some of the harder passages in the transcribed arrangement. Use those and the difficulty slider if a particular measure is giving you too much trouble.
The chord progression is different from later recordings Bill made of this tune, so that is something else to watch out for when jamming with others. Check out the Melody tabs to learn the different progression. Learning those basic melody notes will also help you know which notes need to be accented in this transcription of Earl's playing.
