This is a simplified version of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. It removes the complex fretting hand embellishments and allows us to focus on developing the picking hand first. This is always a good thing to do when learning a new tune, especially when diving into a complex Scruggs style song. It also provides us with a safety net. It's something easy to fall back on when playing in a jam, and because it is more simple, it serves as an excellent launching pad for adding in licks and coming up with variations
