Earl played this one in the neighborhood of 160 BPM! Practice slower than that. Listen much slower than that. Make listening and reading the tablature part of your practice routine before ever picking up your instrument.
This one usually requires cam tuners, Keith tuners, or cheat-a-keys. We've come up with an arrangement that uses slides to get the exact same notes. If you check the licks, there's some labeled "alternate fingerings" these are options that use different picking techniques to get the exact same notes.
