It's always good to learn the basic melody to a tune! It's accessible to beginners, but important to learn for all! If you are an intermediate or advanced picker, try to learn by ear using the hide notes feature. The melody usually resolves to a low C note, but we don't have that on the banjo when in G standard tuning. In this situation we adapt by just using a nearby chord note and sticking to the rhythmic identity of the tune.
